Happy Friday friends! How are you today? Any fun plans for the weekend?
I am currently packing for a week-long vacation with my family in the National Sequoia Forest, leaving tomorrow! My family has been going up to a magical place called Hume Lake every summer since I was in middle school. With no cell service and no internet, you are literally off the grid with no schedule, no deadlines, no busyness [can I get an Amen, Haaallelujah!] , no texts to answer or emails to write...it's truly an amazing getaway. If you can imagine a gorgeous lake reflecting a bright blue sky and the most beautiful Redwood trees as far as the eye can see, that's Hume Lake. I couldn't be more excited for life to slow down a bit, get some rest, enjoy some much needed quality time with family and be refreshed by the clean mountain air. Stay tuned for some pictures of the trip, I can't wait to show you this magical place!
But before I leave for the mountains, I'm so excited to share Olivia and Ricky's wedding with you!
Since starting my business in San Antonio as a wedding photographer, I've been amazed by all the beautiful people I've been privileged to meet. Olivia and Ricky are two wonderful people and I've been so honored to be a part of their wedding at the Garden Ridge Community Center in Garden Ridge, Tx. The colors were blush and navy and given that Olivia grew up in Hawaii and Ricky's family heritage is from the South Pacific, it was only fitting that their wedding had touches of tropical amazingness!
The details of the day were so beautiful!...
While the ladies were getting ready...
I snuck out outside for a few minutes to say good morning to the fellas
After the groomsmen photos, I spent more time with the beautiful ladies!
One of my favorite parts of the day was when Olivia and Ricky exchanged gifts and prayed together
They're love for each other and tearful praying together was humbling to witness. After this, they said goodbye...the next time they'd see each other was during the ceremony! After this, Olivia got into her dress!
Olivia and Ricky chose not to do a "first look" but Olivia said she wanted to do a "first look" with her Dad before the ceremony...and I'm telling you guys, this was the SWEETEST thing to watch! You can just see the love Greg has for his daughter and it will melt. your. heart!
Shortly after this "first look" with dad, the ceremony began!...
One of my absolute FAVORITE parts of a wedding day is photographing the groom's reaction to seeing his bride and Ricky's expressions are priceless
Congratulations Olivia and Ricky!! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding and I pray you will have many wonderful and amazing years together!
